The Ravine Cowl is an ideal showcase for beautiful yarn. Originally written for Hinterland Ravine, a now-discontinued yarn, any special Aran-weight yarn will shine in this cowl. Textural seed stitch provides the perfect backdrop for a wool blend; look for yarns with either silk (for luster) or alpaca (for fuzzy warmth).
This is a wonderful project for beginners, and will be a soothing take-along project for more experienced knitters.
The small size sits at the neck to add a bit of warmth, and the large wraps twice around the neck for extra coziness.
Small: 8” tall x 29” diameter (sample shown in white)
Large: 7 1/2” tall x 52” diameter (sample shown in beige)
12 1/2” stitches & 24 rounds = 4” in seed stitch
